1. PATROL IN A NATION THAT HAS NOT YET REACHED THE DEMOCRACY.

As part of the powers provided by the Charter of the Association, the provincial section of the ANARTI in Milan organizes an international competition of military patrol, called Viscontea, in the mountain area bounded by the "Triangle lariano".
The 24th edition has been set on 29th , 30th and 31st May 2009 with reference to the location Valbrona (CO).
The Command RFC of Lombardy, the section ANGET of Milan, the UNUCI Section of Gallarate, the II.VV.of the C.R.I.of Como, the C.R.I.M.of Milan, the civil protections of Buccinasco, Rozzano and Opera and the Municipality of Valbrona. Have also offered their collaboration to the Organization.

MAIN FEATURES OF THE PRACTICES

1. TARGET Check the aim to physical training and technical departments in active service and reserve. Make increasingly strong links between military service and leave between Italians and foreigners.
2. THEME Patrol daytime activities for control of the territory, tracking and medium-range raid
3. TYPE Exercise operational evaluation, in blank on the ground with the enemy represented. Total duration of 10 hours provided for a distance of 20 km. Rough terrain and a total drop of about 1,000 meters.
4 TESTS Teams evidence will be submitted to the following tests:
1. Infiltration and exfiltration
2. Monitoring equipment
3 Crossing a river
4. Quiz technical recognition
5. Topography
6. Overcoming obstacles natural and artificial
7. Attack and destroy terrorist targets
8. Shooting with rifle and pistol, launching grenades (images)
9. First Aid
10.Forced march
The tests listed are indicative only and may be changed at the discretion of the Management practices

7. PARTICIPANTS Competing patrols of 3 military preferably including one officer or NCO
Activating military in active service or on leave from UNUCI and Associations or similar
8. ENTRY a) Maximum 40 teams

c) The registration fee is € 60.00 per team and includes:
- Equipment provided by;
- Insurance
- Cohesion dinner on Saturday evening
- In memory of the event
Carers are charged € 15.00 per person
9. LOGISTICS a) The organization will provide accommodation at the request provisional until exhaustion availability: individual quota € 30.00 and includes 2 breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday, toilets and storage of personal effects. It is need to bring their own bedding (sleeping bag, mat and roll).
b) There is the possibility of staying in hotels arrangement, and each will provide directly.
c) No transport is provided to hotels and / or places of race that can be spread to several km. from Drill Management.

6.30 a.m. start of all competition teams from the place in front of the War
Memorial

8.15 p.m. NATIONAL ANTHEM of the present countries. COHESION
DINNER and VISCONTEA PARTY by Valbrona Awning

Sunday May 31st
9.00 a.m. Religious Service
10.00 a.m. Parade and laying of wreath at War Memorial of Visino and Valbrona
11.00 a.m. Awarding of prizes by “Awning” (speechs)

• Competition Field Uniform. No weapons are allowed.

TROFEO “Cap. ELVIO CANETTA”
Ideatore della competizione di pattuglia militare in territorio montano”
Ideatore nel 1985 della competizione di pattuglia militare in territorio IlTrofeo, riservato alle squadre militari in servizio attivo, verrà assegnato definitivamente alla squadra che risulterà vincitrice della competizione per due volte, anche non consecutive.
The Trophy, reserved to teams of active, will be definitively awarded to the team twice winner of the competition, even if not consecutively.
Ce Trophée, réservé aux concurrents militaires d’Active, sera attribué à titre définitif à l’équipe ayant remporté la compétition deux fois, même non consécutives.
Die Trophae, welche fuer die Militars im Aktivdienst vorgesehen ist, wird definitiv der jenigen Mannschaft zugesprochen, welche den Wettkampf zwei auch nicht aufeinanderfolgende Male gewinnt.
De Trofee, alleen voor militaire patrouilles in actieve dienst, zal definitief uitgereikt worden aan die patrouille die de wedstrijd twee ook niet opéénvolgende keren wint.

Il Trofeo, riservato ai militari della riserva, verrà assegnato alla squadra che risulterà vincitrice della competizione per due volte, anche non consecutive.
The Trophy, reserved to Reserve teams, will be definitively awarded to the team twice winner of the competition, even if not consecutively.
Ce Trophée, réservé aux concurrents militaires de la réserve, sera attribué à titre définitif à l’équipe ayant remporté la compétition deux fois, même non consécutives.
Die Trophae, welche fuer die Militars im Reservisten vorgesehen ist, wird definitiv der jenigen Mannschaft zugesprochen, welche den Wettkampf zwei auch nicht aufeinanderfolgende Male gewinnt.
De Trofee, alleeen voor reservistenpatrouilles, zal definitief worden uitgereikt aan die patrouille die de wedstrijd twee ook niet opéénvolgende keren wint.

RULES

TEAM COMPOSITION
Teams are composed of 3 members. No substitution is allowed during the competition. 100 points penalty is given to teams losing a member during the test. A team ending the competition with only one member is considered as withdrawn.

EQUIPMENT
Each team shall be provided with the following items:
mountain bag in use by the national armed forces or of civil use having shape and colour of military type, compass, coordinate-meter, utility knife, pocket lamp, pen and notebook, binoculars, protractor.
Each team member shall be provided with the following items: canteen, rainwear.
A penalty will be applied in case of lack of an item or more.
IDENTIFICATION NUMBER
The leader of the team must wear the id number till the end of the competition. The number must be read with no problem. If the id number is lost or concealed a 300 points penalty will be given to the team.
LANGUAGES
Instructions, orders and tests sheets are in English, French and German . The Italian text is the official one; no information given by the referees or other people is a valid proof in case of claim.
WEATHER
The competition will take place in all weathers.
CLAIMS
Claims must be addressed by writing to the Direction of the competition by giving a money caution of €. 25,00 . Such amount will be paid back the same day if the claim is accepted. Claims will be examined by the jury at the end of the competition.
TESTS ORGANIZATION
The Organization Committee may change, if necessary, the itinerary, the schedule and the type of tests. The team members of whatever rank must follow the directives of the competition referees.
MEDICAL RESPONSIBILITY
Each participant must be aware of his own level of training and physical condition. Medical exams cannot be carried out before the competition. Each test director has the indisputable right to stop an injured competitor for security reasons at least till the arrival of a doctor who will certify the possibility for the injured to go on with the competition.
ORGANIZATION RESPONSIBILITY
The Organization committee denies any responsibility for damages to people or things that might happen during the competition.
TEST ASSESSMENT
The whole team must overcome the tests. The timing is taken from the start till the end of the competition. The waiting times between the arrival and the starting of the test are not calculated. In case of parity, the race time will set out the winner. The competition jury has the indisputable right to give a 200 points penalty for having skipped a check point or used forbidden apparatus (radios, calculators, manuals, cellulars). The time limit, including the stops at the check points, for the completion of the test is of 6 hours after the departure of the last team. Behind this time limit the teams, still competing, will be stopped at the further check point. Anyway, for security reasons the competition will be stopped at 7.00 p.m.
